Powered by the Canadian Abridgment, Legal Topics help you zero in on the material most relevant to your research.

Texts and Annotations

The enhanced Texts and Annotations Library allows you to intuitively browse and search both westlaw Canada texts and annotations, as well as the Thomson Reuters Canada collection of eLooseleafs on ProView – all this content is integrated and displayed on one page! Each Text and Annotations publication now has an improved landing page with the following features:

  • Enhanced Document Display and Built in Table of Contents offers easy navigation when viewing a document within a specific publication.
  • Reading Mode for individual publications allows continuous scrolling through a publication and provides a more book-like experience.
  • Enhanced Indices provide simple navigation throughout the title.

This means you:

  • Get up to speed quickly
Fully linked and browsable table of contents gives you context and allows you to quickly move between chapters and sections while Reading Mode helps you dive into content more efficiently.
  • Develop winning legal strategies
Some Texts and Annotations on westlaw Canada are so widely respected that they can be cited as persuasive authority in the courtroom.

The release of these enhanced features and document display will be phased in over the next four months beginning in November with Texts and Annotations in the Employment Law, Labour Law, Intellectual Property and Securities titles. Titles in other practice areas with the enhanced features will be launched thereafter in the following schedule.

January – FamilySource and Estates&Trusts Source
February – CriminalSource
