Legal Wit — plain as the nose on one's face?!

Mr. Thomson… characterized the relief sought as being as plain as the nose on one's face. I agree — but then perhaps the difficulty with that metaphor is that it requires one to take a look in the mirror. The objecting parties would have a difficult time in attempting to peer into the looking glass when they are doing an imitation of an ostrich. Alice in Wonderland in comparison looks like a normal regime.
